Please bring a lunch and join us at ASiF Studios for a day of harnessing the energy of the Fire Horse 2026 in Mixed Media on Canvas and Paper Sculpture. Explore the “Equine- imity” (a play on the concept of “equanimity” - or finding a sense of balance and peace) - through working with the form of the horse in new creative ways. We’ll be exploring with paint, collage, drawing, and more. No experience necessary- learn as you explore.

All materials and expert instruction are included We are providing coffee, tea and some treats and refreshments to enjoy.

A Look Back… at our SUMMERTIME MIXED MEDIA WORKSHOP

It was such a great group of mixed media adventurers who appeared in the studio last month! We worked and played with paint, paper, collage, stenciling, imagining and mark-making to bring our summer dreams and memories to life. I’m always amazed at the results. Take a look:

How this counting story came to be:

“Despite the advice from a very famous author/illustrator to "...never begin a story book with the illustrations", Eileen Blodgett did just that. The 20 illustrations were first created as a visual story for an art exhibit. It wasn't until later that the illustrations were presented to friend and author, L. (Elle) Gianforte, to review for a possible storybook and The Ladybugs' Adventure was given a wonderful new direction.”

Follow the adventures of Lorelei the ladybug and her friends as they explore life beyond their garden.
