When people see my work I want them to feel pleasantly engaged. I like to transport viewers to a new space-hopefully the space I visited when I painted the piece. There's no telling where a painting may lead, but it is my goal to create work that one can stay with for a while and be drawn back to again and again. For some, the images themselves conjure up memories. Most of my paintings begin with a visual memory or experience and then the process simply unfolds. I enjoy using whatever tools are available for my paintings, choosing to etch, print with original block cuts, or draw, leaving actual brush work to a minimum. Most paintings are approx. 18" x 24" inches, but not all. Please inquire about specific work. Most are available as giclée prints.
